Everton FC – Side by Side
So in my long list of dream jobs—the NASA rebrand being number one—doing some significant design for Everton was right near the top. By the way, I’m not too precious, any space program redesign would absolutely be acceptable. My number is at the bottom of this page. Anyway, back to the Blues…
Side By Side is a personalised, multi-channel approach for Everton’s 2019/20 season ticket campaign. We worked closely with the Club’s internal marketing team to develop the entire concept, identity guidelines, photography, 250+ individual videos, 1 main film and even a custom font.
As the club’s main drive to generate sales and excitement for the start of the new season, this was a showcase piece for the club and an opportunity to create something that was aspirational and looked to the future rather than celebrating the past.
In terms of success, we able to increase retention rations from 94% to 97% which is a club record.
We really enjoyed an outsider perspective on our supporters and what we represented as a brand, helping us to guide our existing knowledge into a new direction. The campaign was fresh and modern when many others have an over reliance on tradition.
